Alan Eustace

Alan and his wife, Barbara, have 2 always unschooled children, Milo and Evvy, aged 15 and 13. Originally from Dublin, Ireland, now living in Oakland, California, Alan and Barbara's family came to unschooling inspired in part by seeing friends living an unschooling life, and in part as a rejection of the educational options available to them. Both have backgrounds in meditation, yoga and psychology - Alan is a Zen priest and has trained in Zen and other meditation traditions since 1999, and has taught meditation since 2005. Barbara is trained in applied psychology and teaches yoga, having completed her 4 year yoga teacher training in 2005. Unschooling has felt like the most congruent and full expression of how they wanted to live as a family, partnering with their children in their curiosity and supporting their innate trust in themselves.
